The Apple Tree

Long back ago there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to play with it. He loves to climb the tree, love to eat apples...love to take the nap under its shadow. Times went on..The boy grew up...and he no longer plays around the tree.

One day the boy came...The tree asked him.."Hi..Come and play with me..". The boy replied.."I am not a kid. I don't play around tree. I play with boys. I need money to buy toys”." The tree said..."I don’t have money but you can take all my apples and sell it. You will get the money." The boy picked all the apples of tree and went..He sold the apples and got money..he bought lots of toys..But he didn’t turn back..The tree was again sad..

One day again the boy came, he became a young man now..The Tree said.."Hi...why are you sad ? Come and sit under my shadow..I am feeling very lonely without you". The boy said.."I don’t have time..I work for my family..I want to build home for them..I need money..". The tree said.."I don’t have money..You can take my branches and trunk and build your home.." The boy became happy..He cut all the branches and trunk of the tree and built a home for him..Again the tree became alone. The boy didn’t turn back. Time passes on..

After a long time the boy came back..He was so old...Looking sad..Tired..and lonely..The tree asked him..."Why are you sad..I wish I can help you but I don’t have apples. I don’t have branches. Even I don’t have shadow...Nothing to offer you”.

The boy (old man) replied..."I am tired of my life..I am alone...I just need you...Can I sit down at your roots." The boy (old man) sits down. Both were happy and weeping..

Is the boy really cruel and selfish ?

No !

We all are like him and treating our parent like that. The tree is like our parent. We love to play with them when we were kids. We leave them alone and come only when we are in need or in trouble. We don’t have time for our parent...No matter what, parent will always give everything to make us happy and solve our problems. And in return what they want. Just your company!

Please love your parent...don’t forget them..give them time..give them your company..They will be happy by seeing you happy…please don’t leave your parent...gratitude them..One can get children as many as he wants, but parent he gets only once..

Thought for Today

Letting Go - Whatever has happened is in the past. Do not think about the past. Learn from whatever has happened and be optimistic about the future. The past belongs to the past. Let me let go of it, because it does not belong to me now.

Tomorrow - Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. It comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.

Act Wise - Don't make Promise when you are in joy, Don't reply when you are sad.Don't take decision when you are angry..... Think Twice.....Act Wise...

Never Surrender - Life is like a Puzzle. Sometimes you may come across pieces that just don't fit, It doesn't mean you give up and walk away. You stay focused and try to build on what you have, Until you've built the perfect picture. Never give up, never surrender.

Criticism - When somebody criticizes you don't worry, Stones are generally thrown only in tree full of fruits.

The Hardest Shell - Under the hardest shell, is a person who wants to be loved and appreciated.

Forgiveness - Rather than being quick to judge, be quick to forgive.

Beautiful Life - A Beautiful Life just doesn't happen. It is Built Daily in Prayer, Humility, Sacrifice & Love.

Big Heart - Be quick to forgive any form of insult, and slow to forget the importance of a big heart.

Opportunities - Opportunities are never lost - someone will take the ones that you miss!

Responsibility - Let me take responsibility for myself and not have expectations of others.

Virtues - Sweetness is the taste of all virtues. Patience is the fortress of all virtues. Cheerfulness is the evidence of all virtues.

Happiness - It isn't addition of possessions, but subtraction of desires which promotes happiness.

Courage - Do not become discouraged in the face of adversity. Understand that the bigger the heart, the bigger the obstacles it is asked to accomodate.

Change - It is wise to bend rather than to break. Those who change will get spiritual wisdom. Conversely, those who have wisdom will decide to change. Change is the first law of Nature.

A Game - By seeing life as a game, your lightness of spirit will make problems seem easier.

Cheerfulness - Cheerfulness keeps up the spirit of the one who possesses it and brings a smile to the lips of others.

Teaching With Love - Teaching others is best done with love. Once the heart has understood the mind opens.

Great Donors - Those who share peace through their thoughts are truly great donors.

True Comfort - Journey into the stillness of your inner being. Here, in the shade of your true self you will find true comfort and true support.

Ferocious Lions - The habits of guessing and making assumptions about others can be like ferocious lions. So do not allow them to run wild.

Inner Calm - The greater the demands on me, the more I need to sustain my inner calm and stability by taking time out for a little daily inner reflection and meditation.

Mirror - A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world. Everyone you meet is your mirror.

Something Right - Instead of losing sleep over past mistakes, let me get busy doing something right.

Peace - Peace is filled with pure thoughts, pure feelings and pure wishes. When the energy of thought, word and action is balanced and stable, the individual is at peace with the self, in relationships and with the world.

Move On - See beyond immediate circumstances. Clear the decks of any old grievances. Learn from the past and move on by tapping into your inner resources of self-worth and humility. With honesty and commitment, softly let go and let others change. There are new horizons, new growth and a new lease of life.

Silence - We have to develop this hobby and practice going into the depths of silence. Practice this, make it your hobby and see how much you enjoy it. The tiredness of the soul will then be removed. We will feel that we are able to remain carefree and restful. When the soul is tired it is restless and there is a lot of worry; we think I have to do this, that and so we cannot feel restful. Actually, all I have to do is to remain peaceful and there will be the feeling that everything will be ok...

Resist Not - Have you ever noticed that resistance leads to persistence. And behind all resistance is self-created fear. The only way to relax and stay relaxed is acceptance. You don't have to agree, or follow, or condone, but acceptance means you begin any interaction with a serenity which invites others to engage with you. And out of engagement comes the satisfaction of creative expression and an enriching relationship. That's relaxation in action!

Being comes before doing - We spend most of our life running after things, doing things. We forget that being comes before doing. Those who remember this secret make an effort to "be" and discover that when they stop and observe, life helps and brings whatever is needed. Learning to be is learning to be at peace. It is our most fundamental nature.

Relationships - Who are the thieves of peace? Why is peace lost in relationships? Complaints, guilt and comparisons are the main destroyers of peace. Instead of complaining, share newness. Instead of looking for someone to blame, take responsibility for improving the situation. Instead of comparing yourself to others, value the good that is in them.

Forgiveness - Why is it hard to forgive others? Usually because we believe that they are 90% to blame for the problem, that I am not as bad as they are. So I start to carry the load of other people's actions. I may have a sense of correction, of injustice: 'I know I am right', 'That is not fair'. But if I start to forgive from the heart, sincerely, then this kind of feeling and attitude begins to dissolve. If I remain humble, this forgiveness will bring me closer to others. Then I do not carry regrets or anger, I just let go and remain light.

Heart Song - Everyone has a song in their heart. Everyone has a reason for being here and a season for making their highest, greatest most auspicious contribution. No one knows what that is or when it is for anyone else. Only our own heart knows what and when it is for us. Your heart wants to sing.

Higher Than the Sky - Keep wearing virtues as your ornaments. Keep loving others. Keep giving regard. You have to go beyond the stars. Keep thoughts higher than the sky, and an abundance of patience like the earth. Keep spiritual love in your eyes.

Contentment - Contentment is a great virtue, though it may not attract one's attention at first. Those who are truly content are usually quiet about it. It is a pleasure to be in their company, because they are full, peaceful and generous.

New Response - If you can see and accept that you create your own stress according to how you are responding, you will then see that there is something you need to unlearn as well as learn. The old response needs to be unlearned, and a new response needs to be learned.

Live Purposefully - If you don't live life on purpose you live life by accident. Why do some days feel like a motorway pile up? It's because you haven't sorted out your purpose yet. The highest purpose is always giving, or serving others, without wanting anything in return. This is why relaxation is always impossible if we are always 'on the take'. There is an overall purpose for your life, and each of the many scenes which fill your day are opportunities to serve your purpose. Take time to think deeply, listen to your intuition, and with patience, the reason why you are here, and what you uniquely have to give, will occur to you. Then you can live your life 'on purpose'

Open Hearted - The heart is like a flower - unless it is open it cannot release its fragrance into the world. The fragrance of the heart is made up of the qualities and virtues of our spirit. Most of us have learned how to keep our heart closed in a world that would trample all over us if we let it. Being open hearted today seems to require tremendous courage. It is a courage which comes only when we realise that no one can hurt us, no matter what they say or do. They may hurt our body, but if we have realised we are spirit, nothing outside can touch us, if we so decide.

Appreciation - Even if I don't mean to be critical, I often unconsciously home in on others' weaknesses and mistakes. The more I develop the habit of noticing goodness and only holding onto the good in others and in situations, the more my own sense of well-being will rise. When I continually think, "He/she is wrong", I create a barrier that prevents me from reaching my own goodness.

Depths of Silence - Practice going into the depths of silence. Make it your hobby and see how much you enjoy it. Any tiredness of the soul will then be removed. Start Early - The best time to awaken both body and spirit is in the early morning. We are fresh, in solitude, and the vibrations of the world are at their calmest. It is not surprising that you will find all experienced meditators and yogis up with the dawn, inviting the sun of spirit to shine into the heart of their soul. The first half hour of conscious awareness will be the foundation of your day. Make an early start. Meditate, set the switch of your consciousness and calibrate your energy for the day. You'll be surprised the difference it makes.

Look For Goodness - In everything, goodness is there. Our goal is to find it. In every person, the best is there, our job is to recognise it. In every situation, the positive is there, our opportunity is to see it. In every problem, the solution is there, our responsibility is to provide it. In every setback, the success is there, our adventure is to discover it. In every crisis, the reason is there, our challenge is to understand it. By seeing the goodness, we'll be very enthusiastic and our lives will be all the richer.

Eye Of The Storm - A wise sea captain caught in a tropical storm knows that if he holds his vessel on the periphery it will get hurled from one side to the other. If he can reach the eye of the storm, he will enter a place of stillness. The storm will then subside and the ship can continue its journey. Similarly, when everything around me is changing in a very intense way, the best place for me to seek shelter and refuge is not on the outside, but deep within the self, where I can get in touch with my own inner being, find strength and stability, then come out and do whatever it is I need to.

See what is special - If I listen to and accept defamation of anyone, I lose some of my own value, especially if I then start to interact with others on the basis of what I have heard. It is better to be selective in what we choose to listen to. Let me focus only on what is special about everyone.
